The house
Obed & Isaac’s is Springfield’s longest-standing microbrewery, in a historic house a block from Lincoln’s home and in sight of the Capitol. The haunt is Springfield, not a named ghost on a stool: a drinking room in a city that has been talking to its dead since 1865. Maldaner’s is the fine-dining table. This is the pint. Come for a horseshoe and a house beer. The Lincoln sites are the walk before last call.
