The house
Hotel Père Marquette opened in 1927 in downtown Peoria. Local memory still gives Capone a hide in the house and a woman in a green dress who did not leave. Fox & Ford is the public restaurant in the lobby’s orbit — a 2025 reopening of the hotel dining room. You can eat without a key. Peoria is the river city between Chicago and St. Louis. This is its table.
