The house
Potter Palmer built a hotel, the Fire took it, and he built it again bigger. The Palmer House is a Loop palace with more than a century of service bells, bridal legends, and reports that the house is not only a Hilton. Lockwood is the public dining room. You do not have to take a key to eat under that ceiling. The haunt is the hotel; the table is how the public is still invited in.
A proper Loop lunch or dinner. Walk the lobby. The brownies are a Palmer House story of their own. The dead are a different dessert.
