Fast Eddie’s Bon Air is a 1921 Alton bar that Eddie Sholar turned into a Region-scale tavern in 1981 — cheap burgers, cold beer, cash only, no one under 21. Alton is the Mississippi river town Troy Taylor and a century of rumor made famous as one of America’s most haunted small towns. Eddie’s is not a ticketed haunt. It is the public tap. Come for a burger. The river and the Mineral Springs are the rest of the map.
